Recently, China Construction Machinery Industry Association (CCMIA) released the sales data of September 2024 forklift market. According to the data, the national forklift sales reached 106,002 units in September, a year-on-year increase of 6.06%, showing the continuous growth of market demand. However, the performance of the domestic and export markets showed significant differences.
In the domestic market, domestic sales amounted to 62,755 units in September, down 5.32% year-on-year. This figure suggests that although the overall market maintained its growth trend, demand in the domestic market slowed down, which may have been affected by factors such as the macroeconomic environment and intensified competition in the industry.
In contrast, the export market performed particularly strongly, with export sales reaching 43,247 units in September, up 28.5% year-on-year. From the data of the first three quarters, the overall sales volume of the industrial vehicle market improved significantly, with the total sales volume reaching 970,680 units, a year-on-year growth of 10.80%. Among them, 699,726 units were sold in the domestic market, an increase of 7.60% year-on-year, while export sales amounted to 270,957 units, an increase of 20.00% year-on-year. This shows that, despite certain challenges in the domestic market, the strong growth in the export market has provided strong support for the whole industry.
